Itinerary
Arrive in Sri Lanka and transfer to Negombo for a comfortable first night. Relax by the coast and allow children time to recover from the flight.
Travel to Kalpitiya for dolphin watching, beginner-friendly kite surfing and an optional fishing experience. Continue to Wilpattu for a family safari through forest and natural lakes.
Visit Anuradhapura before continuing to Habarana. Climb Sigiriya, join an elephant safari and experience village life through a family-friendly rural excursion.
Visit Dambulla Cave Temple and continue to Kandy. Explore the Temple of the Tooth, Ambuluwawa Tower, Royal Botanical Gardens and a cultural performance.
Travel into tea country and visit a working tea factory, Gregory Lake and a strawberry farm. Families with suitable fitness can complete the Horton Plains circuit.
Take the scenic train to Ella and walk to Nine Arches Bridge. Hike Mini Adam’s Peak and try the Flying Ravana Zip Line where age and safety requirements are met.
Travel to Yala and join an afternoon safari. Look for elephants, crocodiles, deer, monkeys, birdlife and, with luck, a leopard.
Continue to Weligama for family beach time and beginner surfing lessons. Use the second day to rest, swim or enjoy simple coastal activities together.
Visit Galle Fort and a sea turtle conservation centre before reaching Bentota. Explore the Madu River by boat and enjoy further beach relaxation.
Travel to Colombo and explore selected landmarks, shopping centres and markets. Use the final evening for souvenir shopping and a family dinner.
Transfer to the airport after breakfast. Conclude a wide-ranging family journey filled with wildlife, learning and shared adventures.
