Itinerary
Arrive in Sri Lanka and transfer to Negombo. Rest by the coast and meet your guide before travelling into the island’s interior.
Travel to Habarana and join an afternoon safari in Minneriya or a nearby park. Observe elephants, deer, monkeys and birdlife within the dry-zone landscape.
Experience rural life through a guided village visit in Hiriwadunna, including local transport and a traditional meal. Later, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress and explore its ancient ruins.
Travel to Wasgamuwa National Park for a safari in a less heavily visited wildlife area. Search for elephants, buffalo, deer, sloth bears and numerous bird species.
Ascend into the central highlands and visit a working tea factory or estate. Learn about Ceylon Tea while enjoying the region’s cooler climate and mountain scenery.
